@Beautonomy Texturism absolutely has a part to play in my original tweet, There’s only so much I could put into 120 characters and I guess it was too vague for some to understand
English

@reesiiess i remember in school when mfs would brush out their “kitchen” and pull all the loose hairs in the back out to flex on other girls with 4c hair who couldn’t have their “kitchen out”
English

@Beautonomy That’s also something I didn’t even mention, There are women out there unfortunately that believe they align closer to blackness because they wear their natural hair or don’t wear fake nails, etc.
It absolutely does happen and i’ve literally seen it
English

@reesiiess u told no lies and ppl so in denial bc that’s not THEIR experience but i’ve definitely heard women make snarky remarks about wearing their natural hair to invoke jealousy out of other women. especially when they have a looser curl pattern
English

@reesiiess @arkang3lara And even if that were the case that’s even better at the end of the day they have a right to boast because it’s THEIR HAIR lmao. Yes they are better for being more comfortable in their skin 😆 crazy thought I know
English

? no one does the other thing lol

I wear my natural hair as a form of appreciation for my blackness and not as a “Gotcha” towards other black women that choose not to.
English

@arkang3lara Are you actually going to sit here and pretend like there aren’t black women that strictly wear their natural hair to prove their “Better” than black women that don’t?
Like are we actually doing this rn.
English

@chickenwagun @burnerforzm @arkang3lara You’re literally dismissing someone else’s lived experience…
English

@burnerforzm @arkang3lara that’s not a thing. I promise u it’s not and if it is on some anecdotal few instances shit it’s a non issue.
English

@cybxrartist I’ve literally been around those exact “Pro Black” women that have shamed others for wearing texturizers and fake hair and they’re literally pretending like that just doesn’t happen…

You’ve never met some of these years long locced or “short by choice” naturals. They genuinely think they’re infinitely more pro black and have more self love

? no one does the other thing lol
English

@reesiiess The truth is they’re mad because multiple people on here find more joy arguing about which is better (wigs or natural hair) and make a habit of mocking one or the other it’s why they feel hit and now they’re hollering
English

I just woke up and now i’m being crucified because there are people acting like there aren’t black women that wear their natural hair to prove their superior to black women that don’t…
Like there are actually people acting like a segment of those black women don’t exist…

@bbymnmn It really wasn’t though. And i’m not sure what else it could have possibly meant…..Use ur brain idk.
