@CrispinBurke I just feel like that creates a completely different experience compared to how general audiences perceive it. So for me personally, it’s hard to imagine watching it just as a “good movie” without all of that context :)

@CrispinBurke Less than SW or Marvel for sure, but there’s still a lot that lives within the fandom itself. So many interpretations, dynamics, and little things that aren’t explicitly in the films but are widely understood by fans

watching top gun in cinema made me think how differently these movies might feel when you’re not deep in the lore and just a general audience. like, imagine experiencing it without knowing all the bts context, fandom theories… without knowing about icemav or sereshaw… like how

The attack on Kyiv was absolutely horrid, but literally no one else will talk about it other than Ukrainians. 29 locations in one city attacked with missiles, an entire block of flats COLLAPSED and there are definitely casualties, yet its radio silence here.
