Tips on reducing water usage (2): - Should I shower every day?: if you have a way to wash your armpits and your private parts without taking a shower, it might not be necessary to take a shower everyday. But hygiene is also very important so please make sure you get enough of it!

Tips to reduce water usage (1): - Should I take a shower or a bath?: definitely a shower! It uses much less water with the same results. - How long should I shower for?: not longer than 3-5 minutes. A 5-minute shower already uses about 40 litres of water, which is a lot!

The water we have available is not enough for everyone - both drinking and bathing water. There is constantly less and less water in the world and only a very small amount of it is available for humans. Therefore, we should be careful with how much we use.

Here are a few tips on how to keep yourself warm with a reduced heating system: - Wear a jumper!: it seems obvious but you should not wear T-shirts and shorts during the winter, even in your apartments. Wearing jumpers is also comfortable.

One of the most important factors of the ecological footprint is heating - it consumes massive energy and emits a lot of CO2. However, apartments in the winter are usually overheated, so we could easily live in colder and less heated apartments.

Meat-free protein sources: 3) Quinoa: while it looks and is usually used like grains (rice and bulgur), quinoa is actually a vegetable, which is extremely high in protein and even includes amino acids you usually find in animal protein. Try it as a substitute for rice or pasta!

Meat-free protein sources: 2) Soya beans: similar to pulses, just with an even higher level of protein, comparable to animal protein. They are also good for your cholesterol, as they are low in fat (yet high in fibre and iron). The unbeatable member of this group is tofu.

Meat-free protein sources: 1) Pulses: this is an inexpensive choice of protein consumption, which is also usually high in fibre and iron. Foods with/from pulses also help to lower your cholesterol levels. Best members of the group: beans, chickpeas, lentils
