Man... I never thought I'd be writing this out, and part of me wishes I didn't have to. It's heartbreaking and, honestly, a little embarrassing. But here goes nothing... 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 💔 Back in late 2021, a friend of mine introduced me to the Solana NFT game. We'd chill, browse through marketplaces, smoke some flower, and that's when I first laid my eyes on @DeGodsNFT. Pure digital beauty, man. My homie @jo_zark advised against buying. Did I listen? Yep. Do I regret it? Hell, yeah! Because soon enough, the price blew up and I was just there, sipping my coffee, dreaming. 😑 Fast forward a bit, and @y00tsNFT entered the space. It felt like my chance to jump back into the DeGods and @frankdegods universe. Funnily enough, that same friend? He copped a DeGod LOL. I started trading and grinding, just trying to save enough for a DeGod. Then, the S3 release happened. DeGods dipped to 3.5 ETH. It was the universe telling me, "Now's your chance, bro". I had 2 y00ts with full points. I needed about 2 ETH. Reasonable as the floor price was hovering around 0.9. Just when I thought things were finally playing out for me, a dude hit me up with a 2.1 ETH offer in the y00ts discord. Here is the part where i fucked up. He pointed me to a P2P site on Polygon. Polygon?! Man I grew up on Solana, I don't know shit about the NFT ecosystem on Polygon. But when I threw the question to the discord fam, they were like, "yeah, dude, it's chill." I'm so dumb. 🤦 I went through the process, signed, and BAM! Instead of seeing that sweet 2.1 ETH, my y00ts? They vanished. For free. Zero. Nada... I've seriously thought about unplugging from the whole NFT scene, even erasing my Twitter. Who wants a constant reminder of their naivety? But then I thought, maybe my story is a cautionary tale for others.
