Caveats of our study: 1.Ageing usually follows a curvilinear pattern which we couldn’t account for 2.Senescence could have been underestimated due to most studies not explicitly testing for senescence and sampling young to middle aged individuals

6.Fish and bulls show improvement with age in ejaculate quantities, possibly due to indeterminate growth and selective culling 7. Reproductive outcomes less likely to senesce than sperm traits, maybe due to female driven buffering effects (small sample sizes)
