@shestheman It’s special to servers because the customer is directly responsible for paying them. If you understand that owners won’t pay the difference regardless of the law, and you still refuse to tip, you’re complicit in their wage theft.

I was set up under the worst version of the tipping system. I’d much rather customers not tip, my employer not have any workers due to that, then increase salary

If you want to take a stance against tipping culture (which I fully understand) then boycott full service restaurants, otherwise tip your server.
