What does this guy (and Tucker Carlson for that matter) think the USA was trying to do between 1989 and 9/11/2001? We let China have Most Favored Nation Trade Status, we did NAFTA with Mexico and Canada, we helped Europe launch the Euro currency and paid for all their military protection through NATO, we sent billions to Africa and South America. We opened our markets and allowed everyone else to sell their goods in America. We gave everyone our manufacturing jobs, especially China. What did we get for it? We got 9/11 then we got repeatedly kicked in the teeth for trying to help the rest of the world and keep trade going and keep the high seas free and accessible for trade. Now here we are 25 years on from 9/11 and 37 years since the end of the Cold War and we done, no more freebies, no more trade deficits to “help” our fellow “democracies” and to “try and bring everyone along” at our expense. Hell with it - we’re done. We’re looking out for number 1 now. Just like everyone else has been doing the past 37 years at our expense. That’s what America First is all about….
