Being Ruby’s love interest actively damaged her character development, she gets locked in a car and excluded from major plot points because of it, only for the confession to get retconned bc of celebi 😭 It felt like she went from protagonist to supporting love interest :/

Idk how to explain this other than theyre similar in terms of their actions and overall “rivalry” especially at first but her really branches out into his own character in terms of personality and backstory

I really liked how close he is to his gameverse counterpart while still having a very different take on various aspects of him, in general I prefer him way more to the games for this reason

Okay I feel like I was too nice but he’s pretty boring in a generic way and I genuinely prefer his game counterpart. Not a bad character but he’s definitely less memorable compared to the other dexholders

I like him and he’s a very unique take on Red these days.. although I don’t have too much else to say.

Overhated tbh my main criticism is he feels more disconnected as an OC than Yellow did

I love her so much and her connection to Emerald was very interesting, but man I wish they didn’t feel the need to try and connect her to Lyra for HGSS. I truly love the creativity taken with the way she kicks her pokeballs lmao

my fav dexholder, I love how his true passion was very unconventional for him as a character, and he has the best pokemon in all of Pokespe (Togebo)

Honestly I prefer her as the protagonist compared to Red. She was very compelling from start to finish and felt like a very unique take, I kinda wanna see a push for a very original character like this in pokespe again

I love her so much, genuinely an amazing character. Her development and overcoming her fear is one of my personal highlights of Pokespe and I also love the way she battles, like using ditto to pretend her arm got cut off was sick as fuck
