@thrasherxy @CrazyIdealist As I navigate the grief of the pandemic and all we have lost, I’m also wading through grief of suddenly losing our home in the #marshallfire. I’m trying to make it across the river & also carrying my kids’ grief. I don’t know how well I’m doing but thank you for this metaphor

I think we are so very tired not just from the pandemic but from all the years before, when we used activity to distract ourselves from grief and emptiness, and now, in this terrible time when grief is no longer avoidable, we have a lifetime's worth of grief debt to pay
