So... Kalos tour happened and I wrote an essay about it 🤣 there were certainly some positives in terms of game mechanics that I enjoyed, but unfortunately many negative things too.... Let's talk about them!!! THE GOOD 🔥 👍 You guys how incredible was it that event eggs AND half hatch distance were available starting midnight and continued outside event hours on both days?! Pretty sure this is the first time theyve ever done this and it was AWESOME 🙏 👍 Arguably one of the best bonuses in the game... High catch rate with premier balls 😭 catching legis on the first ball with pinap berries >>>>> 👍 I noticed starters had boosted catch rates in the wild which was much appreciated, especially after the road to kalos event chomped through my ultra balls 🫠 👍 I'm pretty sure pika was advertised to only be in raids? I was so excited to find out it ended up in the wild, in incense, AND in field research 🥹 I know I am one of 5 people who give a fuck about costume pika, but... it made me very happy OKAY 🤣 👍 It was really cool how raids were ongoing outside the event hours, and that in the evening all bosses from the entire week spawned. It was kind of exciting to see so many legendaries together like that! 👍 Rotating field research 🔥 it's to be expected at this point but it's just a really amazing feature and deserves to be acknowledged 🫡 wish this was implemented more in other types of events like community day or spotlight hour (catch 3 of the featured slh mon 👀) or raid hour (win a raid?) 👍 Pretty good wild shiny rates imo but I've seen conflicting reports on here so maybe I was just very lucky 💀 THE BULLSHIT 👎 🗑️ SUPER MEGA RAIDS 🤮 this feature needs to be reworked somehow. You should not be allowed to enter a lobby unless you have a mega mon, nor enter the raid if the mega is not active on your team. If the boss REQUIRES 10 megas and there are fewer than 10 trainers, the game should prevent ALL TRAINERS from entering the battle since at that point it's a guaranteed lost pass. Idk. Something needs to be done 👎 🗑️ The bonus task for unown was terrible... after we chose a path, x or y should've been added to incense spawns. WHY WERENT THEY IN THE INCENSE SPAWNS?!????! 🗑️ Spawns were generally fucking boring and way too many non kalos mon. With kalos being a notably smaller dex, they should've gone out of their way to do cooler things with what we've got. Some examples: 1. ALL FLABEBE SHOULD HAVE SPAWNED IN THE WILD!!!! WHY WEREN'T ALL FLABEBE SPAWNING IN THE WILD???????? 2. Locking regionals in eggs sucked. I get it for expansive regions (where there are plenty of other mon to hunt in the wild) so eggs are a way to give us access but still keep regionals rare. Fine. HOWEVER for such a small dex they could've just been chill about it. Rare spawn in the wild would've been a massive improvement 3. Honedge should not have been locked in raids and the win a raid task. It should've been made more widely accessible, or at least in a non pay to win task. Ideally it would've been another rare wild spawn 🗑️ Im generally not a fan of the massive pool of raid bosses, which we frustratingly have for basically every major event. A rotating mega, 2 super megas, 2 legendaries, fuckass pika and honedge?????? It's TOO MUCH. Impossible to seek out what we individually want. Possible solution?: ^ Day 1 should've been hourly rotating megas, maybe 2 super megas mixed in. So max 3 raid bosses per hour. ^^ Day 2 should've been legi focused. Alternating hours of yveltal and xerneas so we can plan accordingly and raid what we want to. Maybe 2 super megas mixed in, again 3 per hour. 🗑️ I don't raid for backgrounds myself but streets are saying rates of shiny with bg were abysmal and that really sucks :( shinies and hundos should have automatic bg imo Ok that's all I got.
