People who look down on PIRACY live in a very comfortable bubble. PIRACY helped and shaped a lot of movie fans from around the world, not everyone can afford spending 25 dollars for a HD/UHD movie or cinema tickets. The 1st movies I owned were bootleg VHS tapes (AKIRA, a ton of anime from the 80's, RoboCop, A L I E N, etc), those bootlegs made me the movie fan I am today. In South America, piracy is king, there is not a strong distribution for (legal) physical media, in PERU for example, you have stores that carry (bootleg) physical media, they even carry movies the US have no physical release or availablility on streaming. EWatching movies should not be limited to 1st world countries, everyone deserves to enjoy movies/series no matter where you are.

@daniellelevi3 Yes currently it has taken on a more political dimension. Historically it was rather different however. I'm out too.

I'm immensely enjoying the meltdown over my use of the term "Arab Jew". For Israel flunkies, it contradicts their position that Arabs and Jews have not only been distinct groups since the beginning of time, but have been existing in continuous enmity with each other since their first encounter. So you can add any geographic, cultural, ethnic, or national prefix to "Jew" that you like, except "Arab". Kurdish Jew, Persian Jew, English Jews, it's all good. One particularly unhinged flunkie went to far as to insist that the mere term "Arab Jew" is "violently anti-Semitic". But German Jew? That is apparently 100% kosher.
