A new app made their first dollar on RevenueCat every 5 minutes yesterday

That's still unbelievable to me: >be Deloitte, one of the largest consulting firm there is >Get an contract worth $440k >use AI to write the report But they used 4o instead of a reasoning model with proper factual checks like o3. They only had to pay $20 for a Plus subscription to spare themselves this PR disaster. Still Mindblowing to me.

It was never about the clients – the requests kept coming in. But there were two main reasons I decided to step away. 1. Technical complexity Given how much time and effort I invested, I could’ve launched twice as many apps in the same period. Instead, I had to build SDKs on demand for each client, with super limited resources. Since it was all photo and video, every platform had its own restrictions. I never found a fast way to launch SDKs across multiple platforms at once. 2. B2B is a whole different world Endless contract negotiations, compliance checks, regulations, and constant calls with groups of managers. After working in B2C, I realized this kind of bureaucracy just isn’t for me. In the end, I’m glad I let this project go. I feel lighter, and now I can move forward with my full focus on mobile products.

do you prefer coding with a cli or in a gui extension in cursor/vscode? why?

Submitting a new app after close to 3 months. Not expecting to make any significant money, it was more of passion project while also learning a bunch of auth/backend stuff.

TestFlight is now automatically checking for libraries that have access to microphone/library/camera and forcing you to add descriptions for them, despite not actively being used. I guess this is just to prevent reviewing time wasted on something trivial like this.

I think the most dangerous skillset combo right now is builder (designer or engineer) AND filmmaker. You're a 1 person factory from creation to distribution.
