A Most-Urgent Call for Prayer, and a brief statement about the repose of Archbishop Andronik : "Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be, even as wheresoever Christ Jesus is, there is the catholic church.": - St. Ignatius of Antioch As all True Orthodox Christians likely know by now, His Eminence, Archbishop Andronik reposed unto the Lord recently. In the next 40 days, let us all use this time during the Apostles' Fast to fervently offer our prayers and fasting for Vladyka Andronik's soul, as well as offering almsgiving if it be possible. It is impossible to overstate the urgency of praying for the newly reposed in the three days after the repose, as well as the 40 days. It is impossible to properly state how blessed the Church is to have such a brilliant archpastor in these turbulent times. One of the biggest comforts that I received in the first years of converting from WO to True Orthodoxy was the comfort of being in one mind and one accord with my Bishop after so many years experiencing the opposite. I did not know Vladyka personally, but I have been blessed to be around priests that were under him, as well as many of his spiritual children, and the way each spoke about him is uniform. Souls flourished under his guidance. The most striking example that I know of is actually a priest that returned back into the ROCOR-MP, but still had no problems relaying to me how holy of a Bishop he was, and how much he still saw him as a true and holy Bishop, regardless of newly chosen ecclesiastical tension. As our services state, may the Lord provide his soul a place among the Saints, and "shelter him in a place of verdure, a place of repose, whence all sickness, sorrow and sighing have fled away, and where the sight of thy countenance rejoiceth all thy Saints from all the ages. Grant him thy heavenly Kingdom, and a portion in thine ineffable and eternal blessings, and the enjoyment of thine unending life."

The loss of Abp Andronik is tragic. He was one of the better Bishops.
