@ren_oclock As a former booktube girlie ... There is a hive mind. You have to find the people's who's tastes align with yours if you actually want to enjoy any recs. Otherwise its mainly good for awareness and trends

I know this is something that has been talked about a lot but I am finally really experiencing it for myself. Why are so many of the books on tiktok that are claimed to be literary masterpieces and life changing just....mid?? Not terrible but still deeply disappointing.
