I'm really grateful to everyone who came to help me @sam_raph @ruthblakeley and @cori_crider launch CIA Torture Unredacted last night - as Sam said, initially we anticipated maybe 30 people, so we were very pleasantly surprised.

Q: ‘Are the panel pessimistic or optimistic about the future closure of Guantanamo?’

Q: ‘What are the limitations of relying on norms of human rights when they are so regularly and blatantly flaunted?’

Our event is kicking off, with @cori_crider introducing the panel, arguing that ‘CIA torture is not simply a historical crime, as perpetrators have yet to be held accountable’
