Our office is 24hrs powered by Solar. No PHCN supply connected and we use several ACs through the day without fail and if anyone was to work at the office through the night, they also wouldn't have any issue.
It's not that solar cannot handle your AC. It's the capacity of solar inverter system that you installed that cannot handle AC and that's fair.

For 2 years we’ve had steady light in my area.
Then on Wednesday, our transformer spoilt and we were off power for 3 days. My solar system couldn’t even handle my AC, so I’ve just been surviving with fan and plenty heat 😭
Today they fixed it and light is back.
I turned on my AC for just 30 minutes and everywhere is already chilled.
Honestly, nothing anybody can tell me again in this Nigeria, AC is the best home appliance you can ever have.

This is too mechanical though.
Best way to achieve this is to use relays for control. More efficient and reliable.

We just completed this installation of 6kVA growatt Hybrid inverter with 15kWh Felicity Lithium-Ion battery (7 years warranty) and Twelve(12) 590W Jinko Tier 1 solar panels .
This setup was installed to power a 2 bedroom apartment and run an AC through the night without shutting down.

You don't buy - power generated would be stuck - DISCOS supply power - unable to recover full money for what's supplied - unable to make profit or pay Gencos for power bought from them.
Gencos unable to pay for next supply of gas to generate power - Gencos shut down generator.
Same logic with bypass.

This is BS.
My panels has a rated capacity of 2.7kwh total
One day I drained my battery like mad...
My panels were running 2.8kw the following day by 11am!!!

No panel can generate more than 70% of its rated capacity. They can only give u 99% in lab test conditions Panel output largely depends on 1. Solar orientation and angle 2. Solar irradance 3. How efficient it is under heat conditions and it's positioning to fresh air cos too much heat reduces harvest 4. Panel type Most panels only do about 55%-60% of its capacity. Forget all these hype about jinko and the likes

I beg to differ.
Homeowners don’t need a "masterclass" to understand their energy patterns; they need competent professionals.
The real gap is installer education. 80% of residential installers lack the technical depth or even the discipline to read a manual. A sound installer doesn't just install,they educate the client. The problem is the person with the tools, not the homeowner.

Multiple news coming from the east is that.. the long summer of cheap renewable systems (solar, batteries especially) fueled by Chinese government subsidies.. is about to come to and end. Price of Lithium batteries and solar panels are about to shoot up as Chinese govt are rolling back subsidies.
If you have any plans to move to solar.. now would be a good time. Prices are about to escalate.
