Soaring gas prices mean that every school drop off, every trip to the doctor or drive to work, takes a bigger bite out of a family's budget. I spoke on the House floor today urging for the suspension of the federal gas tax through September to provide Americans with lower costs at the pump.

Employees at TSA, the Coast Guard, FEMA, and other essential agencies deserve to be paid while ICE reforms are negotiated. House Republican leadership must stop playing games with people’s paychecks and bring legislation to the floor this week to fund these vital agencies and pay workers.

The Affordable Care Act was signed into law 16 years ago, making immense progress in ensuring that every family can afford health care. We cannot give up this fight, and we must continue to build on this progress. That starts with extending the ACA tax credits that 22 million Americans relied on.

HHS failed to release Title X grant funding guidelines for months, released them late last Friday, and gave applicants only one week to submit. This backwards approach could delay critical funding to health care centers that provide life-saving services, including family planning and reproductive care, access to birth control, and cancer screenings.
