The goal is simple – replace outdated systems and provide Veterans with a single, accurate medical record that follows them for life. Our Veterans deserve a healthcare system that works as hard as they did for us.

The Gainesville, GA hero @USArmy Lt. Alexander Nininger was the first Medal of Honor recipient of World War II. On this National Medal of Honor Day, we remember how he fought his way through enemy positions destroying several enemy groups and snipers at the Battle of Bataan, before succumbing to his wounds. A cenotaph at @ArlingtonNatl memorializes his service and sacrifice. It’s an honor to share the same hometown as this courageous hero.

Unbelievable. Worst transportation secretary in history suddenly has opinions on how to run an agency. There’s more work to do, but under @POTUS, @DeptVetAffairs is serving Veterans better than ever, including cutting the backlog of Vets waiting for VA benefits by more than 60%, opening 33 new health care facilities and investing nearly $5 billion to upgrade VA medical facilities.
