@BNevio @Yasin0424 My feel has been always that blaming a language because doesn’t support XXX is never wise. It’s a matter of different choices/paradigms/implementations.

@BNevio @Yasin0424 Also … regarding “inheritance” don’t you think Golang documentation makes pretty its position about inheritance vs. composition? Maybe the project you’re involved had a bad choice (if they rely on inheritance and can’t be solved using composition) Is that possible?

@aikchar It’s been more than 4 years for me right now. I’m still using python but it is not my comfy zone anymore. I’m still doing scripts first in python but right now it is usual for me to write services and tools with golang. So definitely I believe the two can coexist. #golang #python

The more I use #golang the more I miss #Python. The type system trips me up as do package docs. I’m not fluent in reading function signatures. I stumbling around but making progress. I don’t recall having as tough a time starting in Python.

Took up #golang again (this time it’s serious (lol)). I’m not missing #Python too much yet. Developing on #VSCode is a joy (haven’t used #GoLand yet so can’t compare). It’s still baby steps (converting shell scripts) but making progress.
