R.I.P. Charlie Kirk. Freedom of speech is foundational to our country. Charlie was one of the biggest proponents of free speech and civilized discourse. He was a transformational figure for young Americans. Political violence must stop.

As a physician, I know how important it is to champion patient-centered health policies that give doctors and their patients the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions as opposed to Washington bureaucrats. As I close out my final months in Congress, I urge my fellow legislators to reform the 340B Drug Discount Program to provide increased oversight and stand up for the American patients who need your support the most. #340B #Fix340B

Ultimately, comprehensive reforms will be necessary. Congress needs to provide clarity around the intent of the program and accountability for use of the savings. I have introduced multiple pieces of legislation to inform this conversation; most recently, I circulated the 340B ACCESS Act with my colleagues Buddy Carter (GA-01) and Diana Harshbarger (TN-01). Aimed at restoring the integrity and original purpose of the 340B Program, this legislation seeks to protect true-safety net providers and the communities they serve while also ensuring low-income and uninsured Americans are receiving the discounted drugs they are entitled to.

A year ago, Hamas' terrorist attack in Israel resulted in the brutal massacre of over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children, while many others were beaten, raped, or taken hostage. The United States must continue to stand beside Israel as it defends its citizens from Hamas.

This week’s debate is past us, and no minds were changed. President Trump can and should take on a second debate.
Harris is all over the map on policy, but one fact remains unchanged: she has been at the highest levels of power over the last 3.5 years and supported every single progressive policy that has led to disastrous outcomes. This is not a matter of interpretation, but a matter of fact.
– sky-high inflation and illegal immigration
– weak global leadership that fostered multiple wars and atrocities.
– trillions in additional regulatory costs and higher taxes
Trump should take Harris up on a second debate and hone in on contrasting his four years in office to hers.
It’s an easy comparison. Trump should do that, and win.

The IRA was passed with only Democrat votes and VP Harris being the deciding tie breaking vote in a 50/50 split U.S. Senate. CMS made the announcement.

And now CMS has announced a “demonstration” program in Medicare Part D that will effectively prevent the premiums from going up before the election. I have co-signed a letter voicing concerns. This is clearly a political move to help VP Harris in the election.

I think it’s a little rich coming from the woman who cast the tie-breaking vote on the bill that raided Medicare to pay for wealthy liberals with electric cars. Trump has a record of lowering drug prices — including through a program that gave seniors $35/month insulin under Medicare, and through policies to address the market forces that impact negotiations between pharmaceutical companies and insurers. The Inflation Reduction Act’s drug pricing provisions will end up actually INCREASING the cost of the Medicare drug benefit. So it doesn’t matter if the sticker price on a drug appears low — that cost just got shifted to seniors in the form of higher premiums. This year that’s a 20% projected premium hike, and that number will grow to 50% in 2025. She can’t claim she’s “lowering drug prices” when she just increased the amount that older Americans will pay for drug coverage. It’s a bald-faced lie.
