In the #PNW, we work together to strengthen our regional economy. From growing small businesses to advancing domestic and international trade, the PNW is an economic powerhouse. It was good to join @SeattleChamber and the Cascade Partnership to reinforce our shared priorities.

Great meeting with the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe in my DC office this week. It was good to hear ways that the federal government can continue to honor and support tribal rights and sovereignty.

#EarthDay is a time to appreciate the world around us, and recognize that there is still work to be done when it comes to protecting it. Washington's rich and diverse environment is something that I will always defend. Happy Earth Day!

Local businesses support their communities and generate local revenue. Girard Wood Products, a veteran-owned and family run wood packaging manufacturer in Puyallup, is no exception.   It was good to learn more about their high-quality wood packaging solutions.

Manufacturers in the #SouthSound are an important – often overlooked – part of our state and PNW economy. It was good to tour the Amcor Rigid Plastics Tumwater facility, a global leader in responsible food, beverage, medical, and product packaging.
