Let’s just say George RR Martin isn’t the only one who’s written 1,200 pages of Winds of Winter. We’ll see who finishes first Georgie boy @GRRMspeaking

I’d take 96 any day every day

@aoinxsco And is this always the case? Or do you have moments where it goes away before the task is done. Bc for me it took a lot of tries and persistence for it to go away. But I also feel it’s waiting for its opportunity to crawl out and have to kick the living shi out of it every time

after a childhood of adhd stereotypes i was diagnosed with adhd 2 separate times one unprompted and one with a panel assessment after multiple tests and people still regularly tell me i might be autistic but they still wont believe i legitimately have adhd
Erin Ekins (she/her)@QueerlyAutistic

"Hi, I'm self-diagnosed autistic." "How dare you think you know better than doctors! Only a professional can decide if you're autistic or not!" "Hi, I'm diagnosed autistic." "Well, clearly the doctors who diagnosed you are incorrect because I've decided you can't be autistic."

@aoinxsco Like when I encounter a task that needs attention right away but my body is begging me to run, gets ice cold, shivering etc. I just force myself to sit on that damn chair and try to get it done. After a while the anxiety goes away and I can actually focus on the task at hand

@aoinxsco Honestly I brute force it. Maybe, at first I run from things for a couple of months but then I comeback and force myself to face it -sometimes excruciatingly painful- until the anxiety leaves me tf alone

@aoinxsco It’s just their inability to understand someone different from themselves whether smart. And that’s really the basis of this whole fuckery, turning our lives in to living hell. And in my case they still do not admit that they fucked up in many aspects of my life

@aoinxsco Yeah and then I had to fix that on my own too, forcing and exposing myself to tasks that give me anxiety cuz how the hell am I supposed to function if my brain is yelling fuuuuuuuuuck this every time I have to do something

@reservoirdplank same with my dad who was also a higher scorer, they really just make it worse for you because you develop anxiety around any kind of task

@aoinxsco Yup they pretty much did and I hated being called “zmart” throughout that time while I couldn’t even focus on something so simple. No meds, insane pressure and a burntout fucking disappointment

@aoinxsco Oh no worries I got diagnosed and prescribed but my dad was like “have you seen the side effects on this shit??” fear mongering and scaring my mom so I ended up never using them (didn’t even know I had adhd) till uni
