An open source AI project everyone can use for free is reportedly being valued at $1.5 BILLION. The company is Nous Research, behind an AI agent called Hermes. Hermes runs on your own computer, writes code, browses the web, and learns new skills as you use it. Completely free and open source. It's the open alternative to the closed AI labs, and developers love it. Over 214,000 stars on GitHub. Instead of one company's data centers, it runs on a network where people donate their own hardware to train the AI. Now Robot Ventures and USV are reportedly putting in $75 MILLION at a $1.5 BILLION valuation. The product is free. The justification is that enough people will pay for the hosted version to justify the price. A free tool worth over a BILLION dollars, if the round even closes.

😱 You domain isn't yours. A day without t.me. Yesterday evening, t.me stopped resolving for users around the world. The domain suddenly dropped out of the .me DNS zone. It is restored now, but the incident showed how fragile even the biggest services are when their main entry point depends on a traditional domain name. Ironically, TON saw this coming. That's why TON Sites exist — websites on .ton domains that aren't tied to Web2 DNS infrastructure. Some of them even work in Telegram. Try opening the link "foundation.ton" from Telegram app. The catch is that Telegram routes .ton sites through the centralized magic.org relay, and only approved sites work for now. So you can build your own .ton site buy it won't open inside Telegram — yet. Creating a .ton site is now fast and completely free. Tools like app.resistance.dog and the new TON Site Builder let you deploy from a template or your own files in a few clicks. As fot TON domain you can get on at dns.ton.org/#

Where are TON’s owners now? Today the network suffered a major slowdown for nearly two hours. What stood out even more than the incident itself was the lack of attention. Apart from projects directly dependent on TON, almost nobody talked about it. The reason seems obvious to me. After MTONGA, Pavel Durov began laying off TON Foundation employees before announcing the organization’s dissolution. Since then, the departures have continued. Just last week, two more senior managers left. It’s no surprise we’ve seen no major announcements, events, or meaningful public activity for an entire quarter. The changes also reached TON Core. Kirill Emelyanenko, who received ton(.)org together with @anatoly_makosov after the SEC case, has also left the project. There is still no official update regarding Anatoly. Against that backdrop, today’s failed network update looks even more telling. It had to be rolled back and postponed indefinitely. The obvious question is: who is actually responsible for developing TON today, if even the main GitHub pull requests are now being merged by different developers? The rebranding to GRAM also seems to have done little to revive interest in the ecosystem. If anything, TON appears to be losing people faster than it’s finding new reasons to grow.

Thank you to the 7M active users who are now using Codex and ChatGPT Work. We have added a banked reset to everyone's account to celebrate the milestone. You can apply the reset in the desktop app or on web and it will replenish the weekly usage for you. Have fun out there.

TON 24h trading volume: $2,6M. $GRAM / $USDT alone takes: $1,3M of that. Remaining: $1,3M. Subtract non-meme tokens, and we're left with less than $1M in daily volume across all TON memecoins. Pretty sad to see, but that's the reality right now. Still believe things will turn around, but for now, this looks like the bottom.

Under Durov’s latest post, one user responded rather rudely to his statement that Telegram does not hand over private messages. The user did, however, make a substantive point: Telegram responds to requests from competent judicial authorities. According to Telegram’s Privacy Policy, that is indeed true. You can even check how many official requests from your country Telegram has complied with through its official transparency bot: t.me/transparency However, this is public information already clearly stated in Telegram’s Privacy Policy. Most importantly, TELEGRAM DOES NOT DISCLOSE THE CONTENTS OF PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS. In response to a valid legal request, it may only provide a user’s IP ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. So the rudeness was clearly unnecessary.

Introducing... another usage limit reset for all our ChatGPT Work and Codex users. Should land over next 30 minutes. Hope you have an awesome weekend. Thank you for pushing our systems to the absolute limit, we have never seen traffic increase so quickly. Keep the feedback coming and we'll keep shipping.
Tibo@thsottiaux

Hello beautiful people! We have reset usage limits across Codex and ChatGPT Work. And another one will come later in the day. Rejoice. Now that I have your attention, a quick update on ChatGPT Work, Codex and all the updates we shared yesterday. We’ve spent the last 24 hours reading feedback, looking at usage patterns, and talking with many of you. The short version is that there is a *lot* of excitement for GPT 5.6 Sol, ChatGPT Work on mobile & web, but also that we didn't get everything quite right. - We made it too easy to use the highest-compute settings without making the impact on usage limits sufficiently clear. - We reorganized the desktop app in one bold move, making familiar things like chats and projects harder to find. - Our launch framing was focused on ChatGPT Work and to some of our Codex fans it made it feel like Codex was going away over time. Absolutely not our intention, we love Codex and it is here to stay. - And we introduced regressions for some existing multi-agent workflows, alongside a collection of rough edges in plugins and other parts of the experience. We’re landing a first set of improvements today. We’re resetting usage twice so people can keep experimenting, changing defaults and the model picker so they don’t push people toward unnecessarily expensive settings, fixing several plugin submission issues, improving how we represent Codex in the product, and cleaning up some of the most immediate desktop problems. A larger set of improvements will land next week. We’re bringing chats and projects back into the sidebar in a more familiar and customizable way, making usage and reset timing much more visible, clarifying when to use ChatGPT Work and when to use Codex, and addressing the many other smaller pieces of great feedback we've had. The ambition behind this launch hasn’t changed. We think bringing ChatGPT and Codex together into a workspace where people and agents can collaborate is a very important step forward. But an ambitious direction doesn’t excuse avoidable confusion or regressions in the first version. Please keep the feedback coming. We’re moving quickly, and you should see the experience already get better with a few updates today; and substantially better again next week.
