The Punisher: One Last Kill is written as if we've seen Jon Bernthal as the scarily cold, skull-clad, heartless and efficient killer a lot and him being emotionally unstable and vulnerable is a new light to show him in. It's the other way around.

Rereading Garth Ennis' non-The Boys works, it's interesting how his famous "hatred" of supes is basically rooted in this, but for hard-boiled ex spec-ops guys like the ones from 80s-90s movies, which he treats like it's a real group of people

The tree in the picture is a giant sequoia tree that was there before Jesus was born, it was older than the Roman Empire.
Before the criminal settler orcs from Europe arrived the old growth had trees that were 300 feet tall and 35 feet wide. Most of them were 2000-3000 years old.
After california gold rush the greedy logging companies started to cut down these trees. Each tree would cause a little earthquake when it fell. About 95% of these majestic trees were lost.
The funny part? The sequoia tree wood was quite brittle and a huge portion of it was wasted by loggers. Most of it shattered on impact or were burned by loggers.

Leaving out that Jeff Bezos’ mom immediately married a Cuban-American engineer who wound up working at peak-Exxon, and that the two had the capital to give him a quarter million dollar loan after he graduated from Princeton (or better yet, leaving out that Jeff’s mom’s father was ‘the regional director of the US’ Atomic Energy Agency in New Mexico… you know, the thing that managed Los Alamos) is certainly a choice.

Jeff Bezos was born in Alberquerque to a 17 year old high school mom who divorced his alcoholic dad before Jeff was 2. He worked at McDonald's before his grades earned his way into Princeton. He started Amazon in a garage with a 245k investment from his parents. That's reality.
