NYC. Music slut. Coming here for anyone’s opinion other than mine is counterproductive.

I’m not sure how old you are or your knowledge of how interviews with Hop-hop magazines, to GQ and even Play Boy went. They had in depth interviews and discussions on geopolitical and national issues. Media, even entertainment media (MTV news) was major and had real journalism.

Turns out that Chappell Roan raised money to go to GRAMMY camp after being accepted for her songwriting skills and the security guard does not work for her. He was hired by Lollapalooza. Chappell has grounds to sue the Daily Mail for damages. This is a clear smear campaign.

It’s so clear Jay-Z wants to be positioned as a Miles Davis, Basquiat-like Black genius figure but… 😬 The catalogue & legacy just don’t rise to that level if we’re honest His legacy is more about being a businessman than an artist & his ability to earn money beyond rapping As far as cultural impact, there’s just not the same longevity there & that’s reflected in the discussion happening now Outside of this orchestrated press tour, who was thinking of it being 30 years since Reasonable Doubt or how it relates to 2026? Who felt like it’s been a long time since we’ve seen or heard from Jay-Z? That’s why it’s out of sync with the times & the vibes right now

@respectfullyyy Then just drop a PR statement. You don't need to be getting interviewed by another person if they're your trained puppet obviously.

A former drug dealer saying he didn’t get here taking advantage of people. Now be fr.

Tommie Lee on dating Solange Knowles son Julez Smith: “Y’all mad at me, but wasn’t Beyoncé 18 and Jay-Z 30 when they first met? I thought so”

One day ya’ll will learn that interviews are not interrogations and journalism is not inherently argumentative like ya’ll are. Most readers of GQ are not reading the magazine for an intellectized geopolitical piece on Jay Z’s morals/values and he’s also not sitting down for that.

journalism should always be adversarial. that's how it gets its rigor and credibility. not asking for follow ups or clarification is malpractice. if you're going to indulge the farce of the celebrity PR machine, at least be rigorous. you don't have to carry water for them.

The “bring journalism back” crowd are always seemingly people who don’t actually interact with real people in real life on a regular basis because you think you can say whatever you want in person (at work at that) like ya’ll do on the internet and that’s simply not reality.

Jay Z addressing everything but Nicki 💀

How this photo almost ruined Burberry 😳
