@kicad_pcb I'm sorry for the somewhat rash complaint. Upgrading from 4 to 5 I was not prompted anything about libraries. Ended up having to remove %appdata%/kicad/ contents. Then upon startup it prompted about the libraries and I was able to load the defaults. Thank you for the help.

@retoid Your story don't tell us much. But if you used kicad v4 before and are upgrading to v5, you probably need to clear out your old library tables, such that you get a new one for the global fp-lib-table taht will match the sym-lib-table. Why don't you just register on freenode?

@kicad_pcb Hey, what'd the deal with libraries now? I understand you updated them but when I open kicad now, there are 0 symbols. App is useless. I am not seeing any easy explanation on how to get the symbols back. IRC channel not permitting me to write in it. This is fun! :(
