@torianis i’ve been rereading the manga, and it’s noted multiple times that hundreds of years is seemingly impressive for yokai. for example, the toad from early chapters is around 200. this has been consistent thing, but inuyasha’s line about aging isn’t even mentioned again by rumiko.

they are definitely different. kagome doesn’t have an inferiority complex but she is insecure(which are often misplaced because she (unfortunately) saw 2 of the most intense inukik meetings and probably thinks that every meeting is like that, but thats’s far from the truth)

she’s jealous of kikyo’s presence, not about inuyasha’s attitude. she logically understands why inuyasha can’t forget kikyo, but it’s understandable that it pains her. it would be nice if she realized that she’s also become an unforgettable person to inuyasha, and NOT from trauma
