MAGA making excuses for this f-cking goon is just pathetic. Imagine for a moment James Comey or even Robert Mueller snorkeling over hallowed ground. Also imagine the outpouring of righteous indignation from Republicans if any Democrat had done the same. This entire administration is stacked with incompetent, unqualified loyalists who have no business being in positions of power and whose only qualification is that they pledge their undying fealty to Trump. This is perhaps the only reason why Patel still has a job, because he's willing to go after Trump's opponents. These sniveling (and snorkeling) sycophants are hand picked because of their willingness to choose Donald Trump over the rule of law. This is the definition of rampant cronyism. Remember that Trump and his allies have insisted over and over again that hiring should be based on "merit" while denouncing "DEI" in all its forms. Their constant attacks against "DEI" are often baseless and there's nothing meritocratic about Patel's appointment. You say "DEI" hire, I say "DUI" hire. You say merit, I say favoritism. And with Patel now paranoid over being the next former Trump agency director, there's no doubt that he's going to ramp up the politically motivated investigations and partisan rhetoric. It's also not a good look when the FBI director is being outed by his own staff and colleagues as a "national security threat" because of his drinking habits. People who described Patel as "erratic, suspicious of others, and prone to jumping to conclusions before he has the necessary evidence." Ya, that's exactly what we want from our country's top cop... Keep in mind that for Kash Patel's defamation lawsuit to carry any weight, the reporter in question has to admit that the dozens of current and former staff she interviewed were lying, that she KNEW they were lying, and that she chose to publish the story anyways. What seems more likely? That this is some kind of phony hit piece engineered by dozens of Patel's colleagues who are all trying to undermine him by fabricating stories that all follow a similar pattern, or that Kash Patel is the one lying? In the meantime, Patel is conducting polygraphs of FBI staff members in order to single out the whistleblowers, which is another example of professional misconduct in itself and deserved its own separate story. Then there's his firing of counterintelligence agents tasked specifically with monitoring Iranian threats just days before we launched a massive military operation in Iran. And only because some of these agents were part of the classified documents investigation into Trump... To that point, he's overseen the purge of dozens of career agents who have at one point been involved in investigating Trump or his allies. These were cases that former FBI agents chose with no political motive, but were nonetheless scrutinized. After internal probes revealed no misconduct, they were still demoted, put on administrative leave and eventually forced out of the agency. And it's also been revealed that Trump's new AG (and former personal lawyer) has orchestrated a similar purge of all DOJ staff not sufficiently loyal enough to the president. These corrupt lackeys prioritize Trump's interests over everything else. The MAGA regime is consolidating political and prosecutorial power at an alarming rate. They're firing anyone whose loyalty can be questioned. We're watching democracy unravel before our eyes as authoritarianism becomes the new norm. Trump is weaponizing every power and agency of the federal government to target his political opponents, his critics in the media and anyone who has ever wronged him, and Patel was put in power to help Trump see this through. In a just world, Kash Patel would have never been considered for the position in the first place. If "merit," skill, and competency were truly the basis for hiring, this administration would be staffed with an entirely different group of people.

Trump just got exposed for running the biggest insider trading operation in American history. Nancy Pelosi traded $5 million in stocks and Congress lost its mind. Trump literally executed $750 MILLION worth of stock trades in ONE quarter while being President. His ethics filing just dropped and the numbers are genuinely unprecedented in history: Between January and March 2026, Donald Trump personally executed 3,700 individual stock transactions worth between $220 million and $750 million. That's roughly 60 trades PER DAY. While signing executive orders, meeting foreign leaders, and making policy decisions that directly impact the companies he's buying and selling. Now here's where it gets really insane: On February 10, Trump bought between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell stock. Three months later, on May 8, he stood at a Mother's Day event at the White House, thanked Michael Dell by name, and told Americans to "go out and buy a Dell." Dell stock surged 14.6% that day to an all-time high of $263.99. Since Trump's February purchase, Dell is up 96%. And 5 months BEFORE Trump bought Dell stock, Michael and Susan Dell donated $6.25 billion to Trump Accounts, one of the largest philanthropic commitments to a sitting president's signature program in modern history. So the timeline goes: Dell donates $6.25 billion to Trump's program -> Trump buys Dell stock ->Trump tells America to buy Dell from the White House podium -> Stock hits all-time high And that's just ONE stock... The same filing shows Trump bought Nvidia stock on February 10. One week later, Nvidia announced a massive chip deal with Meta. He bought more Nvidia stock one week BEFORE his own Commerce Department approved the sale of Nvidia chips to Saudi Arabia. He bought Intel stock starting in March 2026. The US government already owned a 9.9% stake in Intel worth over $41 billion. On April 30, Trump posted on Truth Social praising Intel, writing that "Intel Stock continues to rise." Intel jumped 3% in after-hours and is now up 140% year-to-date. He bought Palantir stock while his administration was actively handing them billion-dollar government contracts for immigration enforcement and defense. He bought Robinhood stock while his own Trump Accounts program uses Robinhood as the broker. He's currently sitting on over 100% profit on AMD, Intel, Bloom Energy, Marvell Technology, and at least 10 other positions. Every single president since Lyndon B. Johnson has used a blind trust to avoid exactly this situation. But Trump didn't. His assets sit in a trust controlled by his own children, and the filings show a broker acted as agent on several trades. The White House says the portfolio is "independently managed." But here's what independently managed looks like: Buy Dell stock. Three months later, publicly endorse Dell from the White House. Stock hits all-time high. Buy Nvidia stock. One week later, your own government approves their chip sales. Stock rips. Buy Intel stock. Post about Intel on Truth Social. Stock jumps. The government you run already owns a 10% stake. Buy Palantir. Hand them contracts. Buy Robinhood. Route a federal program through their platform. Nancy Pelosi got absolutely destroyed for her husband's stock trades. Her husband's total disclosed trades in his most controversial year were worth roughly $5 million. Trump just disclosed up to $750 MILLION in a single quarter. While making the actual policy decisions that move these stocks. This isn't a left or right issue. We're talking about the President of the United States averaging 60 stock trades per day in companies his own administration regulates, contracts with, and publicly endorses. What do you think?

A 10-year-old wrote MAGA Congresswoman Virginia Foxx for a school project. He chose to write about an electric vehicle tax credit. Something he thought was good for the environment. Virginia responded by attacking him and his teacher for being propagandized. Her words: “your teacher will not be able to give you a good education as they are too interested in indoctrinating you... How sad.” An 80-year-old woman. Attacking a 10-year-old. For doing his homework. These people have power over your life.

Trump swore his new gilded ballroom would cost $200M and not one dime of taxpayer money. It’s now $400M, with Senate Republicans quietly tucking $1 billion of your money into a reconciliation bill for “security.” He promised he wouldn’t touch the existing White House. Then he bulldozed the entire East Wing without warning, ripping out a historic magnolia planted to honor FDR. The corporate and billionaire donors writing checks are routing them through a nonprofit so they can deduct it from their taxes. Many have billions in contracts and pending business before the federal government. At the exact same moment, Republicans rammed through the largest Medicaid cuts in history. Nearly 10 million Americans lose health coverage. SNAP is gutted by hundreds of billions, with millions kicked off and benefits slashed for the rest. Veterans, seniors, and kids pay the price. A gilded ballroom for him. Tax write-offs for his donors. Hunger and sickness for everyone else. His whole presidency in a nutshell.

Trump is suing the IRS, which he oversees, for $10 billion. Both sides want to settle to avoid going to court. Aside from money, one of the settlement terms is to drop all audits of himself and his family. He’s stealing $10B from taxpayers and covering up his tax crimes. .@JamesTalarico: John Cornyn said my plan to lower taxes for working Americans would ’explode the deficit.’ My question to Senator Cornyn is, were you worried about the deficit when you gave $1 trillion in tax cuts to the top 1 percent? Were you worried about the deficit when you started spending $1 billion a day on this new war in Iran? John Cornyn is never worried about the deficit when it comes to billionaire tax cuts or new foreign wars — but when we start talking about lowering gas prices for working people, suddenly he's a deficit hawk. We should lower the deficit, and we should do it by closing billionaire tax loopholes and ending this disastrous new war. John Cornyn has had 40 years in public office. That's longer than I've been alive. And under his leadership, Texans are drowning. The only people doing well are billionaires and defense contractors. John Cornyn has had 40 years to lower the cost of housing, healthcare, groceries, utilities, and gas. What's the holdup?

Justice Kagan: "I dissent. The Voting Rights Act is—or, now more accurately, was—'one of the most consequential, efficacious, and amply justified exercises of federal legislative power in our Nation's history.' It was born of the literal blood of Union soldiers and civil rights marchers. It ushered in awe-inspiring change, bringing this Nation closer to fulfilling the ideals of democracy and racial equality. And it has been repeatedly, and overwhelmingly, reauthorized by the people's representatives in Congress. Only they have the right to say it is no longer needed—not the Members of this Court. I dissent, then, from this latest chapter in the majority's now-completed demolition of the Voting Rights Act."

.@JamesTalarico: We are living in an era of corruption. I don’t just mean illegal activity. I mean corruption in the deeper sense — the rotting of something from the inside. Politicians serving billionaire megadonors instead of their constituents. The top 1% owning more wealth than the entire middle class. For-profit social media algorithms sowing division and turning neighbor against neighbor. Our systems are rotting from the inside out. The most powerful people in this country are profiting off our pain, our division, and our disconnection from one another. This is, at its root, a spiritual crisis. And it will require a spiritual solution.

This DOJ not only acts like a corrupt organized crime family, it is also embarrassingly incompetent.
MeidasTouch@MeidasTouch

Trump’s DOJ just filed what may be the most deranged written Motion ever. It reads more like a Truth Social post dictated by Trump himself. What an embarrassment. The Motion is filled with inappropriate personal insults. It literally calls the National Trust for Historic Preservation name “FAKE” and says the group is “very bad for our Country.” It accuses them of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and frames their lawyer as “the lawyer for Barack Hussein Obama.” This is an actual line from the filing: “because it is DONALD J. TRUMP, a highly successful real estate developer, who has abilities that others don't, especially those who assume the Office of President, this frivolous and meritless lawsuit was filed.” This is how the Department of Justice is writing now? Then comes the opportunism. The filing leans heavily on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner incident and uses it to push Trump’s long-standing obsession with building a ballroom. Instead of addressing what went wrong, it argues that none of this would have happened if Trump’s project already existed. They claim “bipartisan support” because of support from…John Fetterman. The lawsuit also claims at multiple points the ballroom won’t cost taxpayers anything—something we now know to be false. Every DOJ lawyer who put their name on this should be ashamed. And it should be a major scandal that it appears that Donald Trump is the one who actually wrote this. So much for DOJ independence.

What an absurd statement. Political violence is NEVER acceptable. PERIOD. What Cole Allen did was reprehensible and we're grateful the President was uninjured. This finger pointing from people like Katie who haven’t just tolerated, but amplified, Trump’s dangerous rhetoric is offensive. The President has openly celebrated the deaths of his political opponents, called Democrats and immigrants "vermin," "demonic" and "evil" "animals" who are "poisoning the blood of our country." He regularly uses violent language, threatens to arrest and jail his political enemies — while describing the attempt to overthrow our democracy on January 6 as a “beautiful thing.” The same folks cheering Trump’s threats don’t get to rewrite the narrative now.

$24 million in Pentagon contracts is going to a company whose Chief Strategy Advisor is the President's son. Eric Trump isn't a defense contractor. He's not a military expert. He's the President's son. Every step this family takes in or around the government ends up with money flowing toward them. They aren't even hiding the corruption at this point. The American people are entitled to a real answer for how this contract was awarded.
