The Avalanche sports media are — and have been for a while — in their own world. Every player, and I mean every one of them in the NHL, tries to draw penalties with theatrical flare. But practically no player jabs the knob of their stick into their opponents’ faces. If we take Manson by his word — and I do, even as a Wild fan — it was an accident. But calling McCarron dirty for acting? That’s a rather dense and foolish opinion, even for an Avalanche journalist.

To Sam's point, Landeskog actively told Avs management that he wanted to be part of the solution in Denver (along with Erik Johnson) as Matt Duchene was asking out and the Avs were embracing the rebuild. Avs got some good ones
