@TheRajGiri Dave truly is why the word dirt sheet was invented . He’s as carny as the men he despises most, Vince and Hogan

@WONF4W Dave’s yes man co-host is really in a bubble. He probably shouldn’t objectively be covering WWE…then again neither should Dave.

@WONF4W It’s very curious how Dave and Bryan and their crew choose the stories they run as headlines. They are either meant to knock WWE or elevate AEW. And of course anyone who is friends with Dave is generally forgotten about.

@SeanRossSapp This is rare for real sports so I like it but if it would become an everyday thing then it would be as bad as the AEW pressers where the reporters are mark fans looking to praise Tony or race bait the talent into taking shots at the other company.

Sports media rant: There is a lot of traditional media in their feelings over Lynn Jones Turnpin providing some positive words to Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen. Media is expanding. It's why journalism majors changed to multimedia journalism. Then a bunch of those changed to convergent media. It's okay to have a traditional view, especially when there's less of that than ever. I avoid calling myself a "journalist" because the general public has taken a (totally incorrect) view of it being some self appointed title of righteousness as opposed to a job title -- and I don't really care about the job title. But finger wagging a 30 year journalism veteran for spending 20 seconds providing positive affirmation? That's just looking for something to be bothered by. I can't imagine actually being bothered by that. Journalists are losing out on jobs and general access to former athletes, content creators and the like because media has expanded. Also, these are media press conferences, not waterboarding sessions. She doesn't have to be the fifth person to ask "what happened on that play?" or "how big was that play?" NFL provides constant access to coaches and players to a degree of which my line of work couldn't inagine. There's plenty of chances. There was also a lot of "it's not her job to ____" comments. You don't know what her job is, or her editor's conversation with her, or the assignments or goals. Uniform media is boring as hell. Adapt or keep your narrow view left of what media is and get left behind

@ryansatin Ryan, your wasting your breath young man. We know you have a grudge against WWE. Anything you post against them is in one ear and out the other.

If Vince hadn’t gotten involved, Cody’s big moment would’ve happened one year earlier and it would’ve been just as big of a deal. Then, a year later, we would’ve got Rock vs Roman - and all the legend run ins would’ve happened there. Would’ve been epic for Rock’s last match 🤷🏽‍♂️
Peps🪭@Peps_Wrestling

Incredible Work by POST. Next to a lot of stuff about the sale & ongoings inside WWE at the time, what stood out on a product side to me was this Vince is confirmed to be involved in the creative of the Wrestlemania 39 match between Cody & Roman

@WONF4W What’s really interesting is this happens multiple times at AEW events and Dave and this website don’t ever report that. Funny how that works

@JonAlba Jon, I’m glad you’re getting a paycheque but nobody outside of the X bubble cares about your awards. If you’ve been following the industry a long time, you understand the dirtsheets are a business revolved around propping up tier two promotions. Congrats on being a Dave pupil

@WONF4W You know what the issue is when the Observer or its cult members report news. They pick and choose and it always is about what suits Dave’s narrative or Dave’s friends narratives. Nobody can trust you as a reliable source instead we ask why did they report this?

@WONF4W This might be true and a natural conclusion however we know it can’t be fact check so Dave uses it to manipulate his audience into thinking this is what high ranking people in the company think. Dude is a flat out carny.

@TheRajGiri I think HHH was a little short sighted here as he tends to be when his insecurities shine through. He was salivating too much at telling the story of pro wrestling killing sports entertainment .

Isn't the "time honored tradition" to do the job before leaving for another company. The first retirement match that I can recall Vince Jr. booking - Piper vs. Adonis - had Piper winning
Matt Koon@mattkoonmusic

@TheRajGiri But on the other hand, one is much better for business than the other, and that’s exactly WHY it’s a time honored tradition .

@arielhelwani Sadly you’re right here. HHH became so obsessed with that pro wrestling destroyed sports entertainment line that he allowed himself to become short sighted. As he generally does when his insecurities come out

No one wanted to see John Cena go out like that. And to suggest it’s a time-honored tradition for him to “do the job” is such a thing of the past. We live in a different era. Cena deserved better. The farewell tour had so much potential. In the end, it feels like fans were left wanting more. I think it was a mistake.

@WONF4W This is why wrestling journalists get labeled dirtsheets. They are too arrogant to watch the show and then complain about things. @bryanalvarez totally misses the Miz backstage segment and then totally fumbles AJ Lee talking about survivor series. Embarrassing

@EBischoff - heard you call Dave the best historian in the business. Given what we know about how he reports and splices in his opinion with facts…isn’t that even debatable at this point? History is from his perspective and his bias

I spoke to Bobby Lashley about Kate's question from the scrum. He was very confused to learn there was any backlash about the question, and said there was nothing wrong with asking it and he took no issue with it. He said he'd be happy to do an interview with Kate and didn't want any hate her way.
