When was the last time millions streamed a State Assembly like a World Cup final? Watching it with such rapt attention!! If that’s happening now, we’re not a failing state, we’re a waking state. This is how you get the next generation to stop scrolling politics and start practicing politics. The truth and the only truth is one man @TVKVijayHQ Is making this change!! I wish him to bring this change onto his governance too, which he has started!! Long live democracy!! @TVKHQITWingOffl #TamilPolitics #TamilNaduCM #TamilNadu @actorvijay @TVKPartyHQ

.@tncpim State Committee Meeting – Press Statement 08.05.2026 The Tamil Nadu State Committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was held today in Chennai and was chaired by Central Committee member Comrade N. Gunasekaran. The meeting was attended by Politburo members K. Balakrishnan and U. Vasuki, State Secretary P. Shanmugam, Central Committee members P. Sampath and K. Balabharathi, and State Secretariat and State Committee members. The resolution adopted at the meeting is as follows: CPI(M) extends support for the formation of a T.V.K. Government In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election results, no party secured a clear majority. In this situation, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (T.V.K.) has emerged as the single largest party. Actor-turned-politician Mr. Joseph Vijay has staked claim to form the government. The CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee strongly condemns the Governor’s refusal to invite Mr. Joseph Vijay to form the government and prove his majority in the Assembly as an anti-democratic act. The Governor is acting with clear political bias and is violating established conventions, judicial pronouncements, and the principles of the Constitution. This is completely unacceptable. The CPI(M) State Committee asserts that the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam openly and firmly opposing the Governor’s actions would demonstrate its strong commitment to protecting State rights and the federal structure. This is also the strong expectation of all democratic forces. Meanwhile, reports of talks between the DMK and AIADMK, and attempts to form a government under Mr. Edappadi Palaniswami, are completely against the mandate given by the people. This cannot be accepted. The Governor’s actions must not pave the way for the imposition of President’s Rule in Tamil Nadu, horse-trading, or political opportunism that goes against the people’s verdict. After detailed discussion, the CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee has resolved that: - President’s Rule must not be imposed in Tamil Nadu. - Attempts by the BJP to capture power through the back door must not be allowed. - Support should be extended to Mr. Joseph Vijay to form the government, based on his formal request. - This support is being extended to defeat the Governor’s anti-democratic move and to uphold respect for the people’s mandate. The two CPI(M) MLAs will vote in favour of the Vijay-led government during the confidence motion in the Legislative Assembly. However, the party will extend outside support and will not join the cabinet. The CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee urges the new government to uphold the principles of secularism, people-centric economic development, federalism, and social justice, and to fulfil the aspirations of the people.

Observe this- Except for TVK handles, no other party is speaking out about today’s transportation failures and the chaos on the ground. Connect the dots.. you’ll start to see what @TVKVijayHQ na said in his last speech resonates more deeply. “Yellaam kootu, onnu kulla onnu”… all part of the same rotten system 🤬
