@IKILLCOWS573 It's obvious she wasn't doing it of her own free will but she did it and you know she's compromised. Zoe has done nothing but help you and not tried to kill you. It would make sense for Ethan to help Mia because they're married but the player doesnt have that much of a connection

JRPG fans were far more brutal to JRPGs than review outlets ever were. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter had its reputation destroyed for decades because BoF fans deluded themselves thinking it ruined the series but it had decent reviews. It's more complex than press = bad

@bornposting It's kinda funny that all RE games get worse as they start to explain away all the monsters with science babble and turn the environments into sterile labs while most SH games get better as they become more dreamlike and incoherent towards the end.

@JangotheBlueFox @BestNewtype007 It always deteriorates, it's just that when you frequently use it, the goo gets rubbed off by your thumbs without becoming noticable. If you leave it unused for a while it builds up over time.

@BestNewtype007 so the Playstation controllers (and some controllers) have this issue where if you don't use the controller for an extended period of time the rubber on the analog sticks starts to deteriorate. the stick become covered in a thick brown oil. that's why it's shiny in this video.

@MinModulation In the JP script it was just a Metroid-esque surprise because they never used any pronouns for Nael in 1.0 so I can't 100% blame them but I thought Koji was part of the lore team and the EN script was supposed to be the primary one? So which is it?

@MinModulation I'll always remember how they had to retcon Nael van Darnus multiple times because of the insane way they translated the reveal that she was a woman. "Oh uh Bahamut revived him in the wrong body." "Oh uh it was Nael's sister all along and she took his name after he died."

Careless translation is just kind of stupid. Early on in FFXIV, they had altered some characters personalities from Japanese, only to run into problems when they had become major characters later down the line in the first expansion, because they lacked the necessary foresight.
