@oafc24 @morton1984 English clubs and the FFP situation is a massive concern. Basically if any of these owners decide they’re not pumping cash into the club anymore then they will drop like a sack of spuds; maybe even into administration and plummet big time! How many really have sustainable models?

@morton1984 So all the clubs that have spent big then. 3 up is fine but they need to sort the FFP stuff out first or wealthy owners will just buy a shit non league club and pump money in for fun and skip over league 2.

3 up, 3 down discussion When you look at the last 10 seasons, the case for 3 up, 3 down becomes pretty clear. Tell me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure 6 teams promoted from the National League have gone on to reach League One or higher. That includes Wrexham in the Championship, Lincoln competing at the top of League One, and Stockport sitting in the play-offs. A 50% ratio isn’t bad! On top of that, 11 promoted sides are currently in League Two, with two of them having already reached League One. Bromley are flying at the top, Notts County and Salford are in the play-offs, while clubs like Grimsby, Chesterfield and Oldham are right in the mix just outside. That’s a huge chunk of the EFL made up of recent National League teams, and most of them aren’t just surviving, they’re competing. It really makes you wonder… if so many teams are proving they belong, isn’t it time to even things out properly with 3 up and 3 down? Performance says 3 up, 3 down — it’s just the system that hasn’t caught up yet in my eyes.

@BradleyKnowles1 We still looked the better team imo, just didn’t click as much in last 1/3rd an like you say, Crewe had 2 wonder strikes. Every game is gonna be like this were we need to take our chances and we will make the playoffs 💪

We were never going to go the season unbeaten. The performance yesterday was fine nobody had a bad game. We’ve been caught by two great strikes. We’ve got to go again and build again a good rest now after playing a lot of games. Some players did look tired. #oafc

Can’t understand some fans saying the play offs are over lol. Proper bipola Latics 🤣 We were never going to win every game & Crewe & Grimsby etc, certainly won’t win all of theirs. Play off are still very much achievable #oafc

Out of the last 8 I’d say away at Crewe and home v MK are the toughest! Get something from these and continue our form against the other 6 then we’re set for playoffs! It will be how we react when things don’t go our way! #oafc

@ScottMitch10040 @ChadKTF28 Mellon better quality, Kav more energy/pressing. Mellon may take time to get back fully fit too so I’m not getting too excited if he’s back for 2 games to go or even the last game. Same with TC too really. Just can’t see them being a massive impact being out so long
