The MAHA coalition and the people who fought to put this administration in office have been thrown under the bus. That is @RWMaloneMD 's read, and he is not being subtle about it.
He says that internal White House polling has concluded that vaccine safety is a losing issue heading into the midterms, and the political decision has been made to shut the conversation down entirely. The tell, he says, is RFK Jr.'s appearance on Joe Rogan, where the word "vaccine" never once escaped his lips.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration is pushing DOJ to pursue liability protection for Bayer-Monsanto, structured along the same lines as the shield that has protected vaccine manufacturers for decades.
Malone is asking a fair question: What happened to conservative values? What happened to the free market? Are we really setting ourselves up to spend the next 20 years fighting the same battles over pesticides and herbicides that we've been fighting over vaccines, with no legal recourse and no accountability?
Malone's conclusion is that this is coming from the West Wing political operation, not from Trump personally. Pollsters have taken over, and a key constituency is being discarded as an inconsequential minority. He thinks that's a serious miscalculation.
