The Government is very kind to Prasoon Joshi. He is the chairman of the Censor Board and now he has been appointed chairman of Prasar Bharati.

@GhoshSamyak @HEPBCC And what does ‘largest’ have to do with the treatment of artefacts there..? Baffles me how a Columbia PhD’s cognitive faculties can be so poor

@HEPBCC Do you know where the largest museum in India is? Ask Grok because it’s evident you know nothing!

Kudos to Mamdani because repatriation is the future. But, I am also worried when I learn about returns in general considering how badly museums in India are staffed & managed. These artifacts should not just be returned but their layered histories ought to be museumized too!

New York authorities have returned over $14 million worth of stolen antiquities to India after years of investigation. 657 artifacts in total have been returned to their rightful owners.

This ad by @Unilever - Comfort is completely unacceptable. Using a fish market as something “disgusting” to promote your product is not creative — it’s disrespectful. Fish is food. Millions of people depend on it for their livelihood. Fishermen, vendors, and market workers work hard every single day, and this ad reduces their environment to something shameful. People who eat fish don’t see it as “dirty” or “unbearable.” They go to these markets proudly and buy fresh food for their families. What exactly are you trying to say here? This is not just marketing — this is humiliation. You’ve insulted: Fishermen who risk their lives at sea Market workers who earn with dignity And millions of people who consume fish as a staple food If this is your idea of branding, it shows a complete lack of respect for real people and real work. Do better. Apologize. And stop portraying honest livelihoods as something inferior. #RespectFishermen #StopInsensitiveAds #ComfortAd #RespectFood

I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.
