We’re a partner in this EU project to restore #peatlands throughout Europe. Today we’re holding our 1st workshop @UniversityLeeds with #greatnorthbog to give practitioners on the ground the chance to shape this ambitious project @geojho @ProfJuliaMO1 @rggeo @wateratleeds

🧐 What would happen if #wetlands were to disappear? 💧Less clean water. ⛈️Floods, storms and hurricanes would cause more damage. 🦩Animals would go extinct. 👩‍🌾Food supplies and livelihoods would be disrupted. 🏞️🌾Let's come together to #restore and #preserve our wetlands!

A great day to be outside! Drone and dGPS surveys with @rggeo at Broughton were tiring enough (I was the GCP monkey) but since it was still light enough, I managed to squeeze in 12 miles around Barden Moor before the light went. 😁

@Geogtogether Celebrating my first day in the field since March. Spent the day removing the sensors you can see us installing 5 years ago......where has the time gone?? Also I clearly need a haircut as Kate accused me of looking like a castaway!!

@Geogtogether I put this together earlier this year showing 48 hour rainfall totals during Storm Ciara. I'm pretty sure it also rained in Wales and Scotland, I just don't have the data!!

@Geogtogether And this is the moment I had to take evasive maneuvers to avoid the drone being attacked by a red kite. You can just see its shadow loom in at the start and it flying away at the end.
