#OTD in 1870, Dennis Michie was born at West Point. As our first team captain, he organized the first football program in 1890; today, Michie Stadium stands in his memory. A member of the USMA Class of 1892, Michie later served—and made the ultimate sacrifice—in the Spanish-American War.

@JacobHester18 @PeterBurnsESPN Just curious. I’m not a LSU guy. A SC alum. And were awful. Who do you want leading your tigers?

Outside of my family, there’s nothing I love more than LSU. Every opportunity I’ve had in life is b/c of LSU. The next coach needs to share that same passion. Our DNA was always mean, nasty, and tough. When you played the Tigers, you felt it — it was non-negotiable. #ForeverLSU

Jeffrey, congratulations on completing the 50 Yard Challenge! You should be incredibly proud of yourself. What you’ve done is more than just mowing lawns—you’ve stepped up as a young leader, made a real difference in your community, and shown what kindness in action looks like. Every yard you mowed for a senior, a veteran, a single parent, or someone with a disability was a reminder that compassion is powerful, and it starts with people like you. Keep that same energy and heart in everything you do.
And always remember this quote:“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.” – Mother Teresa. You didn’t wait—you took the lead. And the world is better because of it.
