The much improved weather @spurnbirdobs this morning kicked-off an incredible movement of White-fronted Geese with no fewer than 168 passing south, many of which stopped off at the wetlands before continuing on their way. The Black Brant also paid us a visit. What a goose fair!

A second visit on a grey morning to see the Fillingham Great Grey Shrike - and it did not disappoint!

Good to connect with this drake Lesser Scaup near Tophill Low today.

I'm sure that there are better images to come, but pleasing to have seen this White-tailed Eagle at Aughton today. Always distant, but the sun was shining! Happy New Year to all friends and fellow birders!

@rhbirding Hi Roy. The Caspians I've found in the roosts across the last few weeks are seldom out of the water, but the ones I have seen standing have been unringed. Cromer always best for reading CR of large gulls, not sure of yours has been there prior to arrival on the Humber.

The North Scrape roost was still in excellent order this evening ~ as well as 3 Glossy Ibis, a minimum 7 new Caspian Gulls appeared (x6 1w + a 3w) along with 4 Yellow-legged Gulls (x2 1w, x1 2w, x1 3w). I was very taken by this stunner of a 1w 👌 #NorfolkBirding #cleybirds
