Some people are missing the point here. Cucurella inverting isn't a genius move. Poch just drafted a profile missing in midfield from LB and changed shape to 3-4-3 in possession. That's what all that inversion did. However, it can be done in a more basic way, playing straight-forward 3-4-3 with two midfielders that will give us the needed balance. Remember when I said, 'if Poch remains, we should try and loan Ugarte', of course, some people laughed over it. But we play fast vertical football and you will get what Cucurella is doing in midfield from someone like Ugarte or Palhinha in a basic 3-4-3. It's really simple, it's all about playing the right profiles for his football, even though he will sacrifice a few players that won't fit in. But for me, 2 years of stability won't hurt much. Let the players continue growing, and loan or sign low-cost players to help next season, at the end of next season when his contract is up, we can hire a positional manager who will get the best out of the squad. For now, if we remain competitive, we should build on it and keep going.

Yeah, because he's playing in a possession-based positional football system that doesn’t suit him. He's built for vertical football. The same reason Enzo is having difficulty playing vertical football when he's built for possession-based. Just because a player doesn’t play well for Club A doesn't make him a bad player.
