@SethDavisHoops You’re either being knowingly disingenuous or you’re just clueless. Out of all the high major conferences, the Big East was tied with the SEC for the fewest teams outside of the KenPom top 100. ACC & B10 both had 3 outside 100. Overall 50% of the Big East was within the top 75.

The committee doesn’t value any conference. They only value opponents. The Big East was down this year and St John’s did not have any quality non conference wins. If they don’t like the Big East why did they make UConn a 2 when they didn’t win the regular season or tourney?

@ChadMG1720 @hhqsports @SethDavisHoops Not to mention Cincinnati, Michigan, Villanova, Oklahoma St., New Mexico, and Vandy all ended up making HC changes since the 2023 NIT. Seth seems to have this reoccurring issue of prematurely claiming things as if they are concrete facts before doing any actual research or HW.

@hhqsports @SethDavisHoops How many players from the teams that played in the 2023 NIT are with that same team for the 2026 NCAA tourney? It’s probably single digits, no? These days, the portal improves programs far more than meaningless NIT games.

Seven teams have already declined 2026 NIT invites. Look at the field from just three years ago and tell me post-season basketball doesn't improve programs.

Not sure how the NIT field from 3 yrs ago equates to success when most of those P5 teams no longer have the same HC.

At one point not too long ago Syracuse basketball in March was something my day revolved around. I’d drop everything from school to my job just to watch a March Cuse’ game. Today, I had no clue they were playing up until I saw a post 10 mins ago. Kind of crazy but also sad.

The thing is, Pitino’s guards are better all around players at the college level and he can win with 3 star guards. Some even become pros.

St. John’s & the system being ran does not benefit those type of players. And hopefully these young guards are picking up on that
