Wow. Spencer Pratt sounds just like Trump: fake victimhood, nonstop grievance, speaking in superlatives like its wisdom. And folks are falling for it. People just need to admit they don’t want honesty. They want a charismatic con man who tells them what they want to hear while picking their pockets.

Spencer Pratt has gained traction in his campaign for L.A. Mayor by showing what he says Karen Bass did to his family -- forcing them to live in a trailer after his home burned down. Though, Pratt has really been staying at the Hotel Bel-Air for more than a month. Mind you, you can't get a room for less than $1,500 a night.

Confederate states are rushing through rigged maps to erase Black districts off the map. If this doesn’t make you angry, it should.

Let me be clear: @SteveHiltonx's stance on abortion is totally disqualifying. He wants to ship California doctors to Louisiana — to be criminally prosecuted for performing legal abortions. Trump's preferred candidate should be no where near the governor's office.

The speaker stated staff forgot to post the timer, which it appears they posted only the very end. They also forgot to start the timer at the most recent meeting I attended, resulting in chatter on the dais and speaker confusion and misunderstanding. The board and staff have a professional responsibility to manage this aspect correctly, or the boundaries become fuzzy. The complexity of how race /socio-economics comes into play when discussing district permits could certainly be a thoughtful perspective to add, but you may have lost that opportunity when you used hateful speech yourself to accuse the speaker instead. You had students in the room, and an opportunity as an adult and leader to share another perspective at the appropriate time after public comment, while not attacking the speaker. As you heard, she is totally baffled why, as you call to mute her, you refer to her speech as “hate.” You may not have liked what the speaker said, or thought you perceived embedded assumptions or biases in her fiscal opinions, but under the guise of protecting students, you model a pretty poor way of dialoging or educating. So, on top of the pickle you create for the board when you blurt out from the dais the language of censorship, you do nothing to teach children in your audience, or the adults in the district you represent, much of anything other than how an emotional response leaves room for misunderstanding. @LauraPowellEsq

At a Culver City Unified School District meeting, a member of the public called in to comment on a proposed parcel tax, district finances, declining enrollment, and enforcement of residency requirements. Once her time ran out, board member Triston Ezidore—whose bio is packed with leftist signaling—jumped in with, “Can we mute the hate speech?” The speaker, clearly surprised, replied, “What hate speech?” She was told her time was up, and they moved on. Apparently, criticizing the district’s fiscal decisions is now “hate speech.” It’s becoming clearer every day that many progressive politicians in California no patience for the democratic process when it involves actual dissent. Basic respect for the right to free speech has weakened to a perilous degree.

Culver City Unified School District board member Triston Ezidore censored a parent at a meeting for promising to oppose a new tax, which Ezidore dubbed "hate speech." This is ripe for a First Amendment lawsuit. open.substack.com/pub/fairforall…
