Yasiin Bey’s (fka Mos Def) fourth studio album ‘The Ecstatic’ is back. The 2009 album is being reissued August 14 through Rhymesayers Entertainment on 180-gram double LP, alongside a 7" single featuring two previously unreleased tracks—”The Size" and "The Tournament." A 120-page hardcover book of photography by Cognito, who documented the original recording and tour, is included in the deluxe package. Originally released on Downtown Records, the album was widely regarded as a return to form. The project was built around production from Madlib, Oh No, the late J Dilla, and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes. It disappeared from all streaming platforms amid label disputes in the years that followed. The album is streaming now exclusively via Qobuz, with new music from Bey to follow the release.
