@Argoshelpers I have a few questions to ask to help me decide whether or not to buy something, but your live chat won't help me get through to a person because I don't have an order number.

I started with one around 1980, and I bought a new one probably every year with the` proceedings. These were youth clubs and hotels on the back foot and a couple of pubs and colleges. I got to about 20 in total but the costs equalled the coin box revenue so when the Inland Revenue wanted a cut I sold them to people to keep them on and the spares too. I do have a rich file of table football history and so on. I played and won some money in Frimley Green or London and Leicester maybe but Paris was good. 20 years ago I had two shoulder ops and slowed down. I found I played emulating Phil Renato (Oxford) we won cash in Paris which was his work and my honour he carried the day. This year at a trade show a firm hazarded having a table and their guy.. a student, and I played for 2 hours nonstop. The next day he had said he was going to have me but the stall had to do business and it the table was meant to be for customers etc. I was pleased that I had not played for two decades and was on ar with a young blood. I tried to persuade him slow dink shots were superior to sheer speed and strength, Video frames show with the ball on the penalty spot the next frame 1/24?second) it is in the net. To me that says the stats of a 50% chance each "penalty" argues it is oft no better than chance and speed and strength is probably worse for skill than Phil Renato type dinks, feints, stagger shots and so on. Prof top rank players oft agree to share the prize money 1st and 2nd because they know that is a better bat than the likely path with a player they know well. I envy you your gaming now, but the theory above used to insulate me from the reality I could be beaten sometimes easily. The guy who I more or less equalled had really only one shot in singles from his right back. I told him so. Also I knew when his shot from there was going in before it did. But I missed out on stopping it like the old days!!!!! Enjoy the game while you can. I still have one table without legs from Lidl (a decade ago purchase at £100. The better identical one I also bought when I saw it I gave away free to the immigrants who wash cars in Ringwood on the Xch road because that seemed to me to be a good idea. I probably will give the one without legs German "Square" design) to the other one by Waitrose. I don't need money and I cant really risk taking it up again and whilst I know what to do...sort of, I am definitely a bit slower and the video argument and the strong arm tactics of bullies disappoint me. At a comp against some Irish Dublin players one just kept on doing his fav shot so I said OK you have me on that, so try something more interesting. Nope, he said, he needed a high goal average! I did play Dieter Thiele in Frankfurt NSM Lowen... he scored 11 with 8 balls. Massive shoulders, but I still prefer the Phil Renato highly skilled mind games. It was possible to destroy an opponent like that. He came to Winchester College top school and gave a masterclass. That was the sort of thing I advocate, not competitions where the worst playing often spoils the commonwealth of tables, players and newbies. Tim BH24 1EB if you want a Square table. see my tweets.

Despite my best efforts fielding 20 tables within 30 miles of home, table football has lost its footing in pubs and clubs. Operators will not clean them, Landlords want glass tops, Pool earns more and is a better spectator offer. But do what YOU can for the sake of mindfulness.

A guy from the engineering team messaged me on Slack just because I played foosball with him. How do I tell him that I don't even remember him or his face, whereas he knows everything about me?😭

When most people hear the word "foosball," they think of a casual tabletop game played in bars, basements, or recreational rooms. But is it more than just a game? Is it a sport?
