airchive.uk Airchive is an aviation telemetry platform that extends the aircraft "black box" concept into the blockchain era. The system is designed to monitor individual aircraft, complete fleets, or potentially large-scale global air traffic networks. Aircraft tracking can be dynamically configured, allowing new aircraft to be added at any time without changing the underlying architecture. Airchive continuously captures live ADS-B aircraft data and archives it directly onto the BSV blockchain. Rather than storing only a reference or hash to externally held information, Airchive writes the telemetry records themselves into blockchain transactions, creating a permanent and independently verifiable record of aircraft activity. When a new aircraft is added to the system, Airchive automatically generates a dedicated wallet identity for that aircraft. This allows each aircraft to maintain its own historical data trail, with every recorded event becoming part of an immutable chain of evidence. The archived telemetry includes key flight information such as aircraft identifier, position, altitude, ground speed, heading, vertical rate, squawk code and aircraft state. Each record is cryptographically signed, linked to previous records and permanently anchored on-chain, allowing the complete history of an aircraft to be independently verified. —————————— Airchive also operates three autonomous agents: — Collector Agent The Collector gathers live aircraft telemetry and publishes records on-chain as the primary data producer. — Monitor Agent The Monitor tracks aircraft activity and dynamically adjusts recording frequency based on flight conditions. Data capture increases during important phases such as take-off, descent, landing, turbulence events or emergency situations. — Analyst Agent The Analyst consumes telemetry data, performs analysis, generates fleet-level insights and publishes its own signed outputs back onto the network. —————————— These agents operate as independent entities with their own identities and wallets, allowing them to exchange data and services through BSV micropayments. A Collector can provide telemetry, an Analyst can purchase and process that data, and additional agents can build new services around the same trusted data layer. This creates an autonomous aviation data economy where telemetry, analysis and intelligence can be exchanged directly between machines. One important feature is Airchive's ability to adapt recording frequency based on aircraft state. A 'parked' aircraft with systems active (ignition on) will only broadcast periodically, while taxiing aircraft generate more frequent updates. During critical phases such as take-off, approach and landing, telemetry can be captured at intervals of around one second, creating a much more detailed record when the most important events are occurring. By combining aircraft telemetry, blockchain verification and autonomous agents, Airchive creates a permanent audit trail for aviation data — transforming aircraft telemetry from information controlled by individual organisations into a verifiable digital record that can be independently checked.
