We’re looking for a talented long-form editor to support a fast-growing educational/science creator producing high-quality, research-driven YouTube videos.
Details:
• 4 videos per month
• $750 per video
• Remote
• Freelance / ongoing role
• Bonus if you’re based in New Zealand or a similar time zone
This role is for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, retention, and how to make complex ideas feel clear and engaging.
The content combines:
• Educational storytelling
• Science/biology concepts
• Research and study highlights
• Strong B-roll selection
• Documentary-style pacing
• Visual explanations
The creator already has an editor focused on advanced animations and high-level visual polish, so this person would initially help build out the edit with strong structure, B-roll, study highlights, and pacing before final polish.
Ideal fit:
• Experience editing long-form YouTube videos
• Strong understanding of retention and pacing
• Ability to find the right B-roll and visual references
• Comfortable with research-heavy or educational content
• Detail-oriented and reliable
