@Schwartzie14 TV/cinema weekly 1+ reach on a 1999 budget (adjusted) will have shrunk loads. My 2p: the ability to carpetbomb the UK was a big part of making ads like this truly iconic. I don't think mobile YT inventory would help solve this. Creative norms have adapted to the media available

If you need to cut your advertising budget, start by looking at your lower funnel tactics because they likely take up a huge portion of your spend. When I onboard a client and run an MMM, I almost always find massive overspending on these tactics with little to no impact on adstock. In these cases, they actually de-optimize overall spend by pulling budget away from tactics that drive net new customers. When I ask why so much budget is allocated to lower funnel tactics, the answer is always “attribution”. I have cut spend in half without any material impact on revenue. Over time, I reinvest the cut spend in branded tactics, which consistently leads to higher organic traffic and an increase in branded search terms (go figure 🙄).
