@andrewjnorton @BretlynB Thanks. I agree genuine student rules probably have a greater regional impact because of different markets served. 107 can also impact through fewer offers made to protect vulnerable risk ratings.

@rich_speed @BretlynB But like @BretlynB I think tougher genuine student rules were probably more important; we can also see these in higher rejection rates than preceding years.

I wonder how many months before we find out that regional unis struggled under MD111 and GO8 continued to growth their #intled market share. MD111 means nothing.

@BretlynB @andrewjnorton All accepted but those are largely “all of sector”. MD107’s link between risk rating and visa processing drove the differential impact on regionals.

Oh but he was brilliant. A Hungarian who fled Hungary and played in the most brilliant Real Madrid side with Di Stefano. Still a legend in Hungary. Around 1962 they won the European Cup in Glasgow against Eintracht. We had never seen such football.

@timeshighered @JohnRoss49 Perhaps but the levy generated a pool of funds for redistribution, the cap limits net migration. The problem the government seem to think they now have is not solved by the levy. But true to point to sector disunity as a huge negative.
