Alberta Minister of Mental Health and Addiction - MLA for Maskwacis-Wetaskiwin

We are very glad to have you back on our 🧢 conservative team Scott. Scott has always been a strong advocate for Lesser Slave Lake and for northern Alberta, and I know how deeply he cares about the people and communities he represents. I want to thank him for the sincere effort he has made to reconnect with caucus and rejoin our team. I look forward to working together again on behalf of Albertans.

Today, on Red Dress Day, we honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. The red dresses displayed across our communities are more than symbols—they are powerful reminders of loved ones who are deeply missed and whose absence is felt every day. Alberta’s government remains committed to working in partnership with Indigenous communities, families, and leaders to confront the ongoing challenges that impact safety and well-being, and to support meaningful, lasting change. We will continue to listen, to learn, and to take action with purpose and accountability. To the families and communities who carry this grief every day: we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you. Read my full statement here: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xI… #RedDressDay #MMIWG2S

We're kicking off Corrections Week by recognizing Alberta's correctional peace officers, probation officers & other staff who help keep Alberta safe. Meet some of the people managing the secure custody of inmates, supporting rehabilitation and safe returns to the community.

Mental wellbeing is an important part of overall health. Mental Health Week provides an opportunity to recognize this and the small, everyday intentions that can make a difference. Minister's statement: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xI… #NationalMentalHealthWeek
