Because the Devil refuses to update the anti-Mormon talking points, it wasn't difficult to refute Mr. Driscoll's entire book in a single afternoon. lightandtruth.ai/which-christia…

@still_boneless @INTERIORPORN1 So you just make kids just because you're afraid to die alone ? Sounds little bit selfish and pathetic. How many peoples still die alone because their kids don't come to hospital? Lmao I don't even know it's a problem to not want making kids in this world

When Elon Musk took over Twitter he cut parental leave from 20 weeks to 14 days but please continue to tell us about his pro child beliefs you fucking moron.
Anna Lulis@annamlulis

Normalize this. @elonmusk is the richest man in the world, yet consistently lives out his pro-child beliefs by bringing his own children into his daily work. He is walking around Beijing China with his son Lil X Kids aren’t burdens—they’re the future.

@__johnny_galtjr @Mormonger @conservmillen False, God defines truth. The Bible is reliable, and obviously not infallible. Don't let paper and ink remain you idol. You reject God's living prophets now the same way the Pharisees and other apostates rejecting the ancient prophets.

I had no idea LDS members would balk at this very basic, central belief about hell, heaven, and who goes where. Yes, all Christians believe in hell and that we deserve to go there. That’s the bad news. The good news is, through Christ, we can be saved from hell and instead spend eternity with him. This is not accomplished through ordinances, church membership, or claims of apostolic succession, but through Jesus’s sacrifice alone. The good news is that there is nothing you can or must do to earn your way into God’s Presence. Rather, Jesus’s blood is sufficient in making us clean and acceptable before God. You are free to believe that access to eternity with Jesus can only be accomplished through following LDS ordinances, and that non-LDS members will only have a degree of glory (but not God’s presence) in the afterlife. It’s just not a Christian belief. For a believer in Christ, there is nothing good about the news that we non-Mormons will live forever in a “better place” but without the presence of Jesus. That is not heaven. Jesus is the prize! And our place with Him is secured by grace through faith in Him. Hallelujah! “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”” Romans 10:13

@RichardGenck @Mormonger @conservmillen It’s nearly impossible to have discussion with Mormons because they use Christian language, yet have totally different definitions. Unbiblical definitions. It takes a lot of time and it’s exhausting to sift through it all.

The numbers from @jean_twenge et al are striking: married mothers are nearly 2 times more likely to say they're "very happy" vs. single, childless women (19% vs. 10%). And married mothers are much more likely to tell us their lives are meaningful. The social media/influencer narrative that motherhood & marriage drag women down? Not supported by the data.👇🏽

Looking at the Virginia Supreme Court, striking down the voter initiative for redistricting, because it was in violation of the direct language of their Constitution, While looking at the Utah Supreme Court, allowing the Utah Constitution to be violated, and then seizing control of the legislature, Really makes a person who’s paying any attention, to be absolutely disgusted with Utah’s judicial branch. A shameful institution.

How did you not know, and also, what does it matter? I was in seminary from 2003-2007 and I knew about it in high school. I grew up in Arizona, neither the Utah Bubble, nor the Bible Belt, something in between. I asked what does it matter because (it seems) you are presupposing that polygamy is inherently immoral when we see it has been permitted and commanded by God at certain times in the scriptures. So, again, how did you not know (because you should have), and why does it matter?

I served a Mormon mission from 2002 - 2004. None of us missionaries knew that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. I was never taught that as a Mormon kid. I don't think I found out until I was in my mid-twenties, and I didn't find out about it at church. I found out about it online.
Thoughtful-Faith@ThoughtfulSaint

“Why haven’t you ever heard of this?” Maybe cause you never looked at what is literally right on our website. Hahaha (Seriously this is taught in all Church history classes)

One frustration with Mormon-Christian dialogue online is that you rarely encounter accredited LDS apologists or leaders. Mostly you meet zealous lay defenders trying to make Mormonism sound comfortably “mainstream Christian.” Often it feels more confused than deceptive.
