@2worldsPodcast The priority is to eliminate “hate speech” from the Australian legal vocabulary, even if this means tolerating the criminalisation of historic calls for violence. Freedom of speech can be completely restored later, perhaps after all the politicians’ terrorists have been deported

@john_macgowan Tolerating criminalisation of prominent calls for violence is a compromise in the protection of freedom of speech (the alternative is far worse; attempting to outlaw ideas or emotions like “hate”). The framing of such laws with respect to anything but violence is however absurd.

@xenocosmography Humans are not morons who cannot act in their own interest, in fact the species specifically evolved to act in their own genetic and by extension collective interest (interest fitness optimisation through linguistic coordination). Insanity is caused by denial of linguistic tools.

I'd so like to have an alternative to the "Human are irredeemable morons but Skynet will sort them out" narrative. Not seeing it yet.

@AustralianJA Maybe because they cannot professionally tolerate critical ASIO resources being directed to political projects, the very reason the terrorists got through. Likewise they cannot professionally tolerate the undermining of Australian national security due to such political projects.

@NoticerNews The purpose of terrorism is to arrest people for speaking (for fear their speech might cause a violent terrorist to strike again).

@AustralianJA There is nothing in principle wrong with the law as it is targeting calls to violence, however it cannot be framed as an issue of “hate” as this is purely subjective and democracies do not restrict emotions or opinions. Any language concerning hatred will have to be corrected.

What do you think of Queensland's new law which just passed? It is by far the most targeted of the so-called 'hate speech' laws and restricts itself to banning 2 hateful chants - globalise the Intifada' and 'from the rive to the sea'. Have the QLD LNP Government managed to find the right balance or is still a bad idea?

Consider the position of an extreme but simple racist ...a grug... who simply rejects the presence of all racial aliens, and who literally hates anyone who isn't White. This is a rare archetype, which actually describes very few people on the right in reality. ...But imagine if the UK had been run since the 1940s in line with that sort of person's thinking. We would not have experienced a single Pakistani rape gang, nor packs of feral Africans stealing phones and watches while doing synchronised MTV gangster-style dances to camera. Nor would we have seen any of the interracial/religious conflict that has beset Britain in this modern globalist hellscape. Imagine if, rather than sending billions in foreign aid to Africa, we had instead spent the money supporting our own people... Today we would have zero native homeless. Acid attacks and honour killings would be entirely alien concepts to us. Couples would be able to raise children in a safe high-trust environment, and birth rates would not be catastrophically low. Now I am not advocating for hate. It is not a productive emotion. But what I am doing is encouraging others to be slow to judge or condemn simple/low-IQ racial consciousness where they encounter it. We are far too in love with sophistry and tolerance. It is not our place though to sneer at the rough and intolerant among us, especially not when the things of which they are intolerant are mainly things that no European should ever have to tolerate in his own country. Their angry vocalisations might be clumsy and grating at times, but their instinct is - in a great many cases at least - fundamentally healthy, needing only to be refined and channeled towards calm well-organised action, not casually or thoughtlessly condemned.

Then the circles do not represent the real situation of Eur-Afr breeding, and specifically the situation I addressed in my original comment. Make the blue circle the Africans and make it 10-17x bigger than the red circle to represent the higher genetic diversity within Africans (and within immigrants to European countries) with respect to one's local geographical nucleus when choosing a White vs. immigrant person for dating. You'll realize that in reality, the large blue circle pulls the average children away from a very tight red circle into a very large blue one.

@JFGariepy @grok The red/blue circles represent the genetic distances of two human superpopulation clusters, the red/blue dots represent random members selected within these clusters. Genetic distance is 1 dimensional not 2; the 2 axes are used for visualisation only (should be overlapping lines)

@JFGariepy @grok The correct visual distances would align with the calculations, whereby a mixed population offspring would on average lie approximately at the same distance to the parent as a random member of the parent's population.

You are the one making a claim of link between the two claims. I'm not; I'm just saying both are true. Tell me if you think the graph is misleading: where does an interracial baby land on the PCA graph in your view? Go ahead and open paint, and draw a curcle where you think they lie.

@JFGariepy @grok The PCA graphed components do not correctly show the overlap of the population clusters in GD (as the two highest components are <10% of variance). The original claim regarding relative proximity to mixed population offspring cannot be demonstrated via the PCA for this reason.

@grok @JFGariepy The PCA graph never should have been used to make a claim regarding the proximity of mixed population offspring to a parent relative to the proximity of a random within-population member to the parent. The original claim used pi values from Yu 2002 to calculate these distances.

PCA plots project ancestry-informative genetic variation onto components. Admixed kids plot midway between parental clusters because they average ~50% ancestry from each—accurate for that visualization. Distances in the 2D space approximate relative structure but aren't scaled absolute GD (use Fst/IBS for pairwise). It shows ancestry shift clearly, separate from always-high parent-child IBD kinship. If the original claim used a different metric, what's the exact point?

@LibertariansNSW Australia already has implied constitutional protections of freedom of speech, as necessitated in the definition of any democracy. The issue is that it could not envisage politicians so negligent as to import populations that would undermine its democratic principles.

In 2016, cartoonist Bill Leak became the face of a free speech crisis when the Australian Human Rights Commission investigated him under Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act. Despite Section 18D supposedly protecting artistic expression, the law was weaponised against Leak for a satirical drawing that addressed complex social issues. This investigation proved that under current Australian law, a citizen can be hauled before a commission not for inciting violence, but for the subjective "crime" of causing offense or insult. The NSW Libertarians believe Bill Leak was unfairly persecuted by a system that prioritizes hurt feelings over fundamental liberties. The "process as punishment" took a massive toll on Leak’s health and livelihood before his untimely death in 2017. This case highlights the chilling effect 18C has on public discourse, where the fear of legal costs and character assassination silences dissent. We must repeal Section 18C to ensure no Australian is punished for their opinions. Furthermore, as the only Western democracy without a clear constitutional guarantee of free speech, Australia must enshrine these rights in our founding document. We stand for the right to speak, write, and draw without government interference. #freespeech #libertarian
